We are an inclusive Christian community dedicated to living Jesus' message of love, peace, and justice through joyful worship, compassionate service, radical hospitality and responsible stewardship.

We are an Open and Affirming congregation of the Southern New England Conference of the  United Church of Christ (UCC). A progressive Christian denomination created in 1957. A church that believes that God is Still Speaking. 

On October 2, 2022, we invited members of the Pokanoket Tribe to Worship with us prior to the Sowams historic marker dedication across the street from Newman Church.   In February 2023, we voted to adopt this Land Acknowledgement Statement.
