An ancient custom, the imposition of ashes marks the beginning of the Lenten season and signifies a time of repentance and reflection as well as a stark reminder of our fragile mortality. As a way of beginning the Christian season of Lent, Newman Congregational Church, United Church of Christ will be offering Drive Thru Ashes in the morning and evening hours.
