Rev. Sam Lovett began as senior minister at Newman Church in March 2025. He is a graduate of East Providence High School, Boston College (BA), and Boston University (MDiv). He was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2021. Sam previously worked as a school chaplain at St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH, and the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

Sam's office hours at the church are Mondays from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays 5:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. (and by appointment!). Sam also leads a community Bible study on Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
