Participants will meet at the church for five Wednesday weeknights during Lent. Each group will be facilitated by Rev. Sam. Meetings will be comfortably engaging and designed to foster deeper friendships and active listening. There will be Bible-based group discussions, and a small amount of “homework” between sessions.
Here’s the format for this small group gathering:
- 10 min. Gathering & Opening Prayer
- 20 min. Ice Breaker question
- 30 min. Bible Study & Sharing
- 10 min. Intentions & Closing Prayer
What will happen:
- A group of strangers will become friends. The only way to grow a deeper in our spirituality is to do so in community.
- We’ll become more familiar with the language of faith, the Bible, prayer, and reflection.
- We will learn what new thing God is preparing to do alongside us. As we develop our inner spirits, we’ll look beyond to what beloved-community actions God is drawing us to in this season.
Where and When is it?
At Newman Church, Memorial Hall, Wednesday nights beginning at 5:45 p.m. Dinner is part of the program.
- Wednesdays: Feb. 25, and March 4, 11, 18, 25
