This group meets several times a month to discuss books connected to the pursuit of racial justice locally, nationally, and globally.

Friday Morning Faith-Based Discussions

Meets Fridays at 9:30 a.m. in person at the church and on Zoom. We discuss weekly scripture readings and other inspirational readings.

Needles and Hooks

A weekly Wednesday gathering of quilters, knitters, crocheters, and crafters of all sorts. The group shares inspiration and ideas with each other.

Hospice Singers

This group meets at the church to sing together from a select songbook, and meets on site at the bedsides of those who take inspiration from the transformative power of music to provide comfort.

Widow’s Might

A supportive community of those who have lost significant others. Meets on the second Thursday of the month at the church for an hour of fellowship before a lunch gathering.

Adult Choir

Newman’s worship and concert choir is made up of talented local singers who rehearse on Thursdays at 7:00pm, sing in Sunday morning worship, and perform concerts at Newman and around the region throughout the year.
