Support for the “Haiti Task Force” has been a priority of Newman Church for over thirty years, and continues to be a top mission of the church. The Haitian flag flies proudly in our sanctuary. This relational work includes a long tradition of connections between people in Southern New England and Haiti to support education, quality healthcare, orphan relief, spiritual support, and community-based services.
Suzanne Swanson chairs the Haiti Task Force at the UCC Conference level and has invited dozens of Newman members into the work of the Haiti Task Force over the years.
