Holy Week invites us to notice the trees around us!
We begin with the green palm-tree fronds marking the way of Jesus’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and we move toward the two timbers “stake and beam” of the wooden cross on Good Friday. And then the promise of new life comes at Easter like the blossoming tree after a long, cold winter.
Into the forest we go! We’ll experience it all this Holy Week, starting on Sunday — Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
