On Sunday, February 8 at 10:00 a.m., Newman Church will hold its weekly service of worship. Rev. Sam Lovett will preach a sermon on healing stories in John’s Gospel, particularly Jesus saving the life of a royal official’s child. As we move through John’s gospel, we’re seeing Jesus offer abundant spiritual gifts to everyone he meets, including “a spring of water welling up to eternal life” last week. Jesus is making faith connections with people who are different from him — may we also come alive with new loving connections in our own time!
