- Read chapters 1 and 2 of Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians: link
Things to consider:
- Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians is probably the first written text in the New Testament, older than the first-written Gospel (Mark’s Gospel) by twenty-five years.
- Notice that Paul is also being really nice to the recipients of his letter. Why do you think he is trying to be so nice?
- What kind of relationship do you think Paul has with the community in Thessalonica?
